Message I'm not surprised. Of course the dealer will use a federal program to their advantage.

Any 'sales' 'promotions' 'deals' 'rebates' 'factory pricing' 'employee pricing' 'overstock' 'last years models'
are all bumpf. The margins are calculated, the profit is always there for the dealer. Trade-ins are calculated on full retail price, not sale price. Fees are always extra. MSRP's are a joke.

If there is the slightest opportunity for more profit to be made, they will do it, usually from misinformation, fact omission, deal and financing confusion and simple outright lying to the customer.

This is the common accepted practice for automotive dealerships. That's why I've never purchased a new vehicle from a dealer's lot.

Lessons learned,

Regards,

My Zs are hybrid vehicles, they run on gasoline and money

I'm off to wax mine and go for a drive now.
